How Do People Get Busted For Having Underage Photos Of Girls On Their Computer?
I see it on the news often and I always wondered how they get caught. Are they already under suspicion or what?

Someone will file charges against a website for having child pornography, then they will get the court to get a list of all of the internet service providers that have accessed the website for downloads, then they will get the court to get the list of all of the persons at each internet service provider who have accessed that website, then they will get your internet service provider to provide all of the websites you have visited, then they will cross-reference all of the original download filenames for the files you have downloaded against their list of underage porn files, then they will get a warrant for you.
When someone downloads something, it has to go to an IP address. Everyone’s IP address is unique. The cops flag the kiddie porn sites and when someone downloads the pix, they trace the IP address to where it goes, and from there, they get to the computer.
Some are already under suspicion, but others are just there, and are lucky enough to be found out. When they trace someone downloading pix, they will clean the computer and see what they find in the memory.
I don’t know and don’t care as long as they’re convicted.
There’s really not much the cops can do… If you show someone and they tell the cops they can check your computer/PC.
People are NOT getting “busted for having underage photos of girls on their computer”. They’re getting busted for “having photos of underage girls” on their computer. God Bless you.

I read a news story about a month ago, the guy had kiddie porn playing on his screen saver at his job. talk about dumb.
